Bharat Road Network Limited, (BRNL) is a road BOT company in India, focused on development, implementation, operation and maintenance of roads/highways projects. Our Company was incorporated in 2006 as a developer and operator for highways, road and related projects on a BOT basis.

We are involved in the development, operation and maintenance of national and state highways in several states in India with execution experience of managing projects in states of Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha through partnerships with experienced EPC players in the local space where the project is located. 

We have been managing project portfolio consisting of six (6) operational BOT Projects covering approximately 2095 lane kms, including major and minor bridges.

    Bajrang Kumar Choudhary , Managing Director

    Mr. Bajrang Kumar Choudhary is the Managing Director of our Company. 

    He has completed his bachelor of commerce from Shriram College of Commerce, New Delhi and he is an associate member of The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India. 

    He is a former Chief Executive Officer - Infrastructure Project Development of SREI, managing portfolio investments across Roads, Ports, Water and Economic Zones. He has previously served as the “Chairman- Expert Committee on Infrastructure” of Indian Chamber of Commerce. 

    He has an experience of over two decades in infrastructure asset management, project development, project implementation, private equity and M&A.

    Dr. Tuk Tuk Ghosh Kumar, Independent Director

    Dr. Tuk Tuk Ghosh Kumar is an Independent Director of our Company. 

    She holds Master of Philosophy degree and degree of Doctor of Philosophy in History from the University of Delhi and has been a lecturer there from 1979-1981. 

    She was a member of the Indian Administrative Service of West Bengal Cadre between 1981-2015. She retired in the rank of Secretary, Government of India. 

    Shree Ram Tewari, Non Executive Non Independent Director

    Mr. Shree Ram Tewari has been an Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer (Retd.) of 1982 batch, Andhra Pradesh Cadre. He was born in 1954 in Ballia (UP) and brought up in village till 1970. He completed his early education from Ballia district and thereafter, from 1970 to 1977, he did B.Sc., B. Tech. and M Tech (Electronics & Communication) from Allahabad University. Mr. Tewari after working with Indian Ordnance Factory Service- Technical from Nov 1977 - August 1982 as Assistant Works Manager/Works Manager joined IPS in September 1982 and after completion of his training, in his career spanning for 31 years, he has worked as  -

    • Assistant Superintendent of Police- Chittoor, Warangal and Kothagudem,
    • Superintendent of Police - Khammam, Krishna, Chittoor, Mahaboob Nagar, Anantpur
    • Deputy Commissioner of Police - Hyderabad
    • Commandant till August 1996.

    He also worked as Deputy Inspector General of Police in extremist field and achieved unparallel & unsurpassed results. He also worked as Joint Commissioners of Police (Law and Order) Hyderabad and  Inspector General of Police (Admin) in Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh Office. He was Posted to Andhra Pradesh Bhavan Delhi as Inspector General of Police Security since Dec 2002 and thereafter He worked as  Inspector General of Police, Border Security Force till 2006. He thereafter returned to Andhra Pradesh and worked as Inspector General of  Police Organization. He was also promoted as Additional DG in 2010 and worked as OSD Printing and Stationary, and Stores, Govt Press.

    During service, he has been awarded with Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service, Police Medal for Gallantry and  Kathin Seva Medal and has also visited USA, UK, Israel, Egypt, Bangladesh during the course of performance of his duties.

    Prof. Santanu Ray, Independent Director

    Prof. Santanu Ray is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI). He is currently the Mentor & Adviser to Chancellor, Sister Nivedita University, Kolkata. He is serving as an Independent Director across the Board of various listed Companies. In his career spanning for about 47 years, he has served diverse Corporate Entities in various capacities and has also been associated with many of them in the Advisory role. He has conducted large number of management development programs with leading corporates and published several books, research papers and articles. He has also been associated with various academic institutes viz. ICFAI Business School (IBS), Kolkata, NSHM Knowledge Campus, NSHM Business School, and B.P. Poddar Institute of Management & Technology and Techno India Group.

    Brahm Dutt, Chairman

    He is the Chairman of the Board and Independent Director of our Company. He holds a Master of Science degree in Physics, Master of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Law. He was a member of the Indian Administrative Service and during his service, he inter alia, served as the Secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and the Principal Home Secretary of State of Karnataka.   

     

    Praful Tayal, Independent Director

    Mr. Praful Tayal is a Graduate Civil Engineer from M.I.T, Manipal and M. Tech (Naval Construction) from I.I.T., Delhi. He is a former Commander of the Indian Navy. During a span of 42 years, he has worked in many shipyards & dockyards within the Country as well as abroad.  He was the Chairman and Managing Director of Central Inland Water Transport Corporation Limited (CIWTC). He has also served as the Technical Advisor of  Braithwaite & Co Ltd., A Government of India Undertaking, Ministry of Railways.

    Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Non Executive and Non Independent Director

    Mr. Rakesh Kumar Gupta has been an Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer of 1986 batch, West Bengal Cadre and he retired in January, 2021 in the rank of Director General of Police as Head of Directorate of Anti Corruption Branch, West Bengal. During the service period of about 35 years, he has worked in positions involving administration & governance, law, public service, management, science & technology, coordination & liaison, quasi judicial functions as Enquiring Officer. He was a Director on the Board of Kolkata Police Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited and West Bengal Police Housing & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited.

    Manoj Ghosh, Senior Vice President - Operations

    Mr Ghosh completed his BE in Civil Engineering from Jalpaiguri Govt Engg College in 1994. He has also done Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur in 2009. He received the Star Platinum Award for implementing various IT Applications in infra Business in 2014. He has an overall experience of approx. 26 Years in the field of Infrastructure Development under PPP / EPC mode – National Highways and Expressways.

    Mr. Ghosh started his career with M/s. Simplex Infrastructure Ltd  in Surat as Asst Engineer in 1994. In his 26 years of career span, he has worked with M/s. Hindustan Construction Co Ltd (HCC) in Mumbai Pune Expressway as an Engineer (Civil), M/s. SomDatt Builders Ltd as a Construction Engineer in APSH 5 Project, M/s Sheladia Associates Inc JV with Aarvee Associates as a Bridge Engineer in NH 5 Project, M/s GMR as Sr Bridge Engineer in NH 45 Project. Prior to joining us he was associated with M/s. Reliance Infrastructure Ltd in Corporate Office Mumbai as a Vice President (Operations). 

    Arindam Bhowmick, Chief Financial Officer

    Mr. Arindam Bhowmick is a Chartered Accountant with more than 20 years of rich experience in Strategic Planning, Financial Analysis & Planning, Corporate Finance, Treasury Management, besides others, across various industries like FMCG, Aviation, Telecom, EPC and Power Generation and Distribution.

     

    Ankita Rathi, Company Secretary & Compliance Officer

    Ms. Ankita Rathi is a qualified Company Secretary and first class Commerce Graduate from University of Calcutta with over 6 Years of professional experience in Corporate Secretarial, Governance and other Regulatory Compliance Management. A result driven professional with demonstrated capabilities in monitoring Corporate Governance and Secretarial Audit controls. A quick learner having strong analytical skills, good communication skill and relationship management capabilities to maintain cordial corporate social relations with various Stakeholders including Board Members and Government/ statutory agencies.
